What is Gratitude? Gratitude is the simple act of acknowledging what we already have. It can be something as basic as waking up and taking our first breath—something we often overlook, but it’s truly profound. Gratitude extends beyond that, too. It’s also about appreciating what we desire, and recognising that even the things we hope for are part of the abundant life we can create.
How do we practice Gratitude? Gratitude is simply the act of giving thanks. One of the easiest ways to start is by thinking of five things you’re grateful for as soon as you wake up. Begin expanding this list, and look at your life with a new perspective. Even what might seem like negative aspects can reveal hidden blessings when viewed through the lens of gratitude.
As you practice gratitude, you'll start noticing shifts in how you feel. Aim for five things to be grateful for each day, and continue for 21 days. The best method is to journal or note your daily gratitude list in your phone. By day 21, your perspective on life will have truly shifted. While you may not have everything from your dreams just yet, by day 21, you’ll look back at that dream and realize you need to dream bigger, because your reality will be far better than you could have imagined.
